The term TFCD is mostly used by photographers who are looking for models for a photoshoot generally for photographers and Models profile.
TFCD stands for Time For CD - That means a model gives her time for the photoshoot to photographer and the photographer in turn gives her few pictures on CD as per mutual consent.
Before digital photography became popular there was no term called TFCD. The actual termused earlier was TFP shoot. The term TFP means Time For Photographs. In TFP shoot the photographer gives few prints of the photoshoot to the model in lieu of the time she provides for the shoot.
Both TFCD and TFP shoots are equally popular even today. In such shoots model gets some new pictures for his/her profile while the photographer does the experiments and enhances his/her skills.
In India TFP and TFCD shoots are also done when the model does not have enough money to get her portfolio done. So, photographers or modeling agencies hire models and give them few pictures of the client shoot in lieu of money.
