Not many people would even be aware that at one point of time Sushmita Sen was actually the brand ambassador for Thums Up.Infact she is one brand ambassador that Thums Up would not like to forget in a hurry considering that she virtually made them pay thru their nose when she dragged them to court for sexual harassement at the very top level of the global soft drinks giant. Even though she eventually claimed to offer the pay-off out of court settlement to a charity till today Thums Up wud like to forget their association with SUSH.

Eversince Sushmita was crowned India's first Miss Universe and in more ways than one,she has always had the world at her feet as her abundant charms have not only won her a vast legion of die-hard fans who have not only placed her on a pedestal but virtually worship the ground on which she walks. Such is the loyalty she commands without even demanding it.

In these circumstances it is not surprising that Sushmita Sen has been living in the fast lane for the past several years and why not, after all she has earned every bit of respect that she commands today. But alas her queen size status does not go beyond the film industry and her vast legion of fans. That was something that Ms. Sen got to learn the hard way recently.

Used to living in the fast lane,Sush freaked out when she set her eyes upon the latest hotwheels- Toyoto Landcruiser that was imported into the country illegally.Not only is she being asked to pay the octroi duty of 2.18 lakhs but has also been slapped with a whopping penalty of 22 lakhs as she failed to pay up the duty in time.

All her screen charms and poise could not help the former Miss Universe to wriggle out of this messy situation that has left a bitter taste in her mouth. even her claims that the car was imported long before she bought it so while she was willing to pay the duty she felt being asked to pay the fine was being too harsh on her.But this failed to impress the officials who stuck to their guns

Nobody can blame Sushmita for feeling the pinch as she is being targeted for the dealers crime and what makes it worse that the penalty is ten times the duty she has to pay taking it to a whopping 22 lakhs. While Sush is still pleading her case desperatley for waiving of the penalty the court has asked her to deposit an anticipatory amount of 10 lakhs as bank gurantee before they settle in to decide the actual penalty that Sush will eventually have to cough up to keep zipping in the fast lane on her hot wheels without getting her luxury vehicle confisticated.

Is that why "SUSH" agreed to do Ram Gopal Varma's Sholay at the 11th hour when Katrina was booted out? maybe Ms.Sen plans to pay the duty & penalty for her car with the signing amount she has taken from ramu for his Sholay remix...What say SUSH or Ramu?!!!
