To answer the above question successfully is considered to be something at par with the summation of the entire wisdom of the Ten Commandments. After all, none of us are lucky (?) enough to be like Mel Gibson in “What Women Want” and find such a handy and useful route leading directly into the minds and then the hearts of females. So for us poor mortal beings the only way left is to try and observe and in the end get confused about the results and conclusions which seem more varied and contradictory than policies of some of our present day world leaders.
Still, those who want to give it a try must remember that it’s not all brawns after all, however weird it may sound. What women look for is essentially a sensitive, understanding, responsive and caring mind. Well, a few drops of humor and intelligence doesn’t really harm in any way. But then, there are few like Marilyn Monroe in “Some like It Hot” who have very specific preference like owning a yatch, a pair of thick glasses, etc. For those who are fated to stumble upon such women, there is no other way out but simply hope that they look like Cary Grant, Paul Newman or at least George Clooney and forget about the rest!
As you all must have noticed that I have recently changed the overall look and feel of the blog pages. I hope this new refreshing looks will be liked by one and all. I will keep changing the theme of my blog once in few months. Its pretty easy and gives the blog a new [...]
There was this line from the Jack Nicholson starrer “The Shining” which said, “…women! Cant do with them, cant do without them…” Many feel that there hasn’t been a truer word spoken about the female species and their unpredictable and to some extent enigmatic thought processes.
Thus, it comes as no surprise that to enlist the aspects or traits in a man that will turn on his counterpart from the opposite sex, makes a task of becoming an heir to the Buckingham Palace look tame and easier. Though there does exist a ‘catalog’ of the more accepted things such as well toned body, strong limbs, that perfect pitch of the voice, a sure and yet ambitious nature, etc., it has been seen that there are a certain number of features or qualities that really work wonders with the fairer sex, but so unusual in nature that not only do they tend to escape out of mind, but also can be termed as ‘quite bizarre’. Some of these ‘qualities’ are the sound of one’s name. While a name like Jack, Harry or Tony is considered agreeable enough, a name like Arthur, Douglas or Frank have a better chance. Another interesting fact about woman turn on-s is about the choice of men with a ‘bad boy’ image. Ozzy Osbourne anyone?
Having your own car is not a luxury anymore but a necessity. With such a hectic schedule its really difficult to wait for other road transport services that are slow and crowded. Though cars have become a required thing, they still are sometimes above the reach of common man. Not everyone can afford to have [...]
This spring it’s all retro with inspiration from the sixties, eighties and nineties.
Moving away from the wintry shades of grey that was popular in Autumn/Winter 2006, fashion for spring 2007 is all set to be rousing, retro and colourful. The striking black and white livens up the mood from the previous season over into a fresher looking spring with the revival of 1960’s fashion. The love for metallic is set to continue well into spring.
It’s important to remember variations of key transitional styles. We loved metallic and sequins, but spring’s look is futuristic. Much coveted sequins have been replaced with other forms of shimmery embellishment, particularly around the neckline.
This season sees fashions first retro raid into the 1990’s. Experimentation with vintage clothing and eighties retro dressing has exploded over the past few years evident with the opening of more vintage boutiques and the re-emergence of leggings. As they say, ‘old is gold’. In it’s truest sense revival of vintage clothing is the so called ‘in’ thing. Only now, “retro” fashion dressing is back going as far back as the sixties and nineties, as hints of bright neon colours and rave scene prints surface to grab fashion’s glare of publicity.
The neon look is skilfully being introduced into our fashion conscience having been applied to current must haves. Realising that leggings and footless tights are here to stay, the spring season sees the reputation of neon footless tights and leggings, a change from the safe black of last season.
I have always liked to take a flight whenever I have to travel for business. It is much faster and safer than going by road. Traveling by air saves time and frustration of long traffic delays. When you have an important business to attend to in another place it is best to fly than to [...]
The word fashion seems to be very glamorous but at times it can be painful too. In this world of fashion new trends seem to take place now and then. One of the trends that has hit India especially the teenagers is the word PIERCING. For some it may appear to be something bad but others it’s in fashion.
Piercing are of two types, play piecing and permanent. Play piercing is done for enjoying the experience. On the other hand permanent piercing is done to keep the opening in the skin permanently for wearing studs and other jewelry. Piercing is done by gun shots or with hands by using sterilized silver threads or needles. Gun shots are preferred by many since it takes less than a second to get the piercing done, while on the other hand piercing done by silver threads are a bit painful but they are preferred to gun shots by experts since they involve less force thus it has less risk of skin damage.
Piercing is done on eye brow, low lip, naval, nose, ears (not only the ear lobe), nipples, tougue, and in many more places. There are records of body piercing and the highest is 1903 permanent piercing. Piercing is being taken as fashion statement by the teenagers mainly since they are getting influenced by genres of music like rock and punk who supports or rather flaunts out piercing as a style statement. One important thing is that, have the attitude if you want to carry out your piercing.

Internet has become so essential these days that I can’t imagine life without my laptop and internet connection. All my business is done online. So, I have to be constantly in touch with my clients and colleagues through internet. The problem comes when I am out on a holiday or a tour. I have to [...]
There are different ways by which feelings can be expressed. Apart from words, things can be expressed through signs, through hands. And in order to make this medium of communication look beautiful there are certain ways. Nails are an important part of our hands. Good nails of our feet makes our feet look good in the same way good nails of our hands makes our hands look good.
In our every day life we use our hands in almost each and every task. So do we use our nails. The quality of nails differs from one person and the other. Some people are blessed with strong and healthy nails; on the other hand everyone is not blessed with them. Nothing to worry about, now we have manicures as well as pedicures to make our nails look healthy and grow healthy. We also have nail arts to make them look more beautiful.
People who find it difficult to maintain long nails, can go for artificial nails. During special occasions where everyone wants to look the best, you can go for painted artificial nails. These add to the glamour to bridal make ups and other females taking part in such flamboyant occasions. These painted nails come with different things painted and studded on them. When you are happy we use bright colors on the other hand if we are not so happy then all kinds of gloomy colors find place on the nails. Thus nails in a way tell the state of mind of a person, at times.
